1966 jetstar88 oldsmobile.

I need to find out what rear end I have exactly does any one know? Also does any one know where I can get good parts for the car other than a junk yard?

I didn't know about the rear end either, but my friends at Google tell me it's a 3.23 (per the Classic Car Database). No other ratio is listed so this is most likely the one although there could be options, I guess. One way to confirm is the old standby method of putting the rear up on jackstands and counting wheel rotations vs. driveshaft rotations.

With regard to parts, you picked the perfect place to start. If nobody on CO has them (or knows where to get them) then they likely don't exist!

Welcome to the site, and best of luck with your Olds!

Welcome to the site, I moved your post to this section to help you get the info you require. Post a proper intro in the newbie section and for gods sake add some pictures, we're gonna ask.

A 66 Jetstar 88 (330) with automatic trans should have a 2.78 P-type 8.2" 10 bolt.
Optional ratios would be 3.08 or 3.23.

Posi differentials, ring & pinion sets, bearings and parts are readily available for that rear.

The 66 Jstar shares all body parts with the 88 series and some sfire parts and some 98 parts. Trim will vary. The junkyard or used are pretty much your only option. As for mechanical parts there should not be a problem....
