I need my early BOP rearend needs to connect to a newer drive shaft with 1/18 bearings. My rearend uses inside clips and can't find a combo ujoint.

I had a driveshaft shop custom make a u joint for a small fee. One side has smaller caps the other had huge caps. I accidentally got shipped a yoke for a serious hp car. Mine was on the trans side but they made it work. Is that what you means by combo u joint ?

Yes, combo ujoint has different size cups. My drive shaft has 1 1/8" cups with inside clips and my rearend yoke has 1 1/16" cups inside clips. I thought I would just swap out yokes on the rearend. Later model 8.2 10 bolt GM rearends have 27 spline as does the early BOP.
I was wondering if this had been done before.
