How do I adjust speedo?

Friday I installed 3.73's rear to replace 2.73's. I knew that it would change the speedo but I was surprised by how much.
Does anyone know what size speedo gear I would need?
How do I do it?
Where would I get one?
I have a TH 350
14" SSIII wheels
245/60R14 BFG's

Any help would be great
Thanks
Dave

I recently swapped rears too. In my case I replaced the 36 tooth to a 39 tooth driven gear. I have a th400 but the procedure is similar. You'll need to know what drive gear your tranny has now, so you can purchase the correct driven gear.

You'll need to do the math on certain things in the links below. My swap was'nt the same as yours.

You need to know things like drive gear, driven gear teeth, and tire diameter to get the correct one.

EDIT: I was'nt completly clear.......On the tail shaft of the tranny, remove the speedometer cable. Then remove the retaining bolt and pull out the assembly. You need to find out what drive gear you have now. It looks like the th350 uses 8,9,10,11,and 12 tooth drive gears. So, you'll need to know this to the math correctly.

There are different housings that hold the speedo gear. Depending on the # of teeth you need. If you look at the housing it will have #s like 36 37 38 39. You may need a differnt housing. Use the above calculaters and go from there. JKaz
