HELP with C-clip eliminator kit
HELP with C-clip eliminator kit
I received my Moser axles and Moser C-clip eliminator kit today for my GM 7.5 rear end today and I have a problem. It seems like the C-clip eliminators slide all of the way down the axle with kind of a loose fit, I do not see any way it can be pressed on. Now am I missing something? Has anyone else had this problem? I called Summit and they said that the kit an d axles should work with each other. Thanks for your help.
It's the wrong c-clip eliminator kit for that axle shaft.Even if it was an 8.5" 10-bolt G-body axle,it still isn't the correct eliminator kit.The 7.5" and the 8.5" both use the same 5707 bearing & 8660S seal combination on their c-clip axles. The eliminator bearing needs to be able to press onto the bearing surface of the axle, along with the lock ring.

No,you do not need a longer axle for c-clip eliminators. The ends of the housing, where your regular bearing would be,needs to be cut off.The backing plate flange remains on the housing,to bolt the eliminators to.
