1961 and 1963 Full Size Rear End

What is the difference between a rear end in a 63 Starfire and a 61 88?
I have a line on a 63 Starfire Posi rear and would like to use the whole rear assy.

I don't think there's any difference. Should be a bolt-in if the pinion flange is the same.

I believe all 57-64 Olds and Pontiac rears are the same. Maybe a slight difference in track width on 59-later Pontiac, but 61 and 63 Olds should be identical.

Hm. OD with a 3.42 posi should make for an interesting ride! Can't remember which trans you put in there, Pat.

If you're talking '57-'60 and changing the whole housing (Banjo Housing) those vehicles had Leaf Spring suspension and there would be a lot of work at converting.
Rear End change out of the Pumpkin is easy, but a lot of the Pontiac Diff's (Pumpkins) have finer spline Carriers!!!
