So, frame on restoration. Changing rear upper/lower control arms and springs. I decidedly to "clean" the differential and axle housing while replacing the cover gasket. Well, i got carried away after seeing how awesome the cover looked post steel wool.
I have now sanded both tubes and sm wondering what most folks do: Paint with color?

Fair enough. Probably this fall I'll throw a posi in it, but I need to get this thing in the road this month. Let the wife and kids feel the wind in their hair in order to prove the tine and money "investment" worthwhile...Hahaha
I'm really considering sone type of clear coat protection. I kinda dig the look.
Paint it in place. Get the car on the road and enjoy it with your family. If it was a concours resto then I'd go with pull it and do it in detail. My $0.03 (inflation)...
