wondering if this was from a 1967 10 bolt Posi

I blew up a 10 bolt that only burned one wheel about 25 years ago. I came across a piece of the end cap that had a number on it.
Can this part be associated with a posi unit?

NO will be for posi or non posi housing... WILL have nothing to do with a posi unit it self, that is a Bearing caps and it is totally useless with out its cast center section housing that the tubes are pressed into. THOSE are Pontiac 10 bolt 8.2 bearing caps from 1966 - 1972 era

Yep, You can toss those too if the housing is long gone. I HAVE seen people install different caps in different housings. AND of coarse many will say it works fine...AND it may... But they really are a machine item like a MAIN in a motor and need to be kept with their original mated area in the housing of that particular rear end housing.
