I’m trying to source a set of axle bearings for the below application. Any help with identification and possibly a NOS set or a vendor I can get them from would be much appreciated. I’m coming up with nothing so far.
71 Olds Full size (455)
12 bolt cover / 12 bolt 9 3/8” ring gear
Bearing Diameter: 2.876” Stamped on Bearing: R-1579-E Bower

The original GM part number is 7451930. There are several other bearing P/Ns that cross to it, including 7451960, 7451896, and 9428063. Search Google and Ebay, there seem to be a lot out there. The new design appears not to have the separable inner race. RockAuto claims to have bearings from SKF, Timken, National, and BeckArnley that fit.

Joe thank you so much for this information. You have been a great help. I will follow up on the linked ones from rock auto, they do appear to be correct.
