Wheel bearing help

I just got the new wheel bearings in for my 1959 Dynamic... The outer bearings look as I expected, but the inner bearings don't look right. Timken part #B66 inner wheel bearings look far smaller than I expected...

Am I missing something?? There's one outer and one inner bearing for each wheel correct? I'm not going crazy am I?

I know that Timken apparently has their part numbers screwed up or something because part #B66 is a tiny roller bearing which has an outer diameter that's smaller than a dime...

Anyone know what the true inner bearing part number is? I'm taking these parts back before heading out to the car this evening to check the inner bearings and being able to order the proper bearings while I'm at Fleet Pride would be nice...

B66 is the bearing number posted on all of the auto parts sites have you looked a the actual bearings on your car.

You can try Fusicks to compare

Ya, I took it all apart last night before bringing the car home. B66 is NOWHERE NEAR the size of the actual inner bearings.

B66 literally has an outer diameter that's smaller than a dime. It's a roller bearing that most ink-pens would barely fit into.

Luckily after taking everything apart I found that only the outer bearings on the passenger side were bad. The plastic retainer/cage had virtually blown up. We had to spend a while cleaning the grease and disintegrated plastic out of the wheel hub before putting it all back together.

The car drove like a champ and has really got some *****. I love it.

BTW...

For future reference, Timken outer bearings for this car have plastic retainers/cages as well.

I caught a lot of sh*t from a lot of people because I talked about bearings with plastic retainers/cages. Apparently the use of plastic was previously a MYTH.

Isn't that the part # for the rear wheel bearings?
