Strange Feeling in drive train
Hey guys... Looking for some advice. I have recently noticed an unusual situation when I am starting from a dead stop. I'm not launching the car, just usual driving. When I pull out, before the car shifts into second gear, I get a strange feeling, like the rear end is moving slightly or there is some slack and the rotation of the axle is catching up with the torque of the drive train.
It does not happen on a slow roll, only from a dead stop to start.
I cant see any problems with the U joints, shocks, shock mounts, bolts or bushings on rear end and I don't hear any metal to metal noise. It does not feel like a sticky brake but I guess I cant rule that out. There is some slight movement, in and out on the drivers side axle so I was wondering if I might have a bearing going bad that would cause this feeling.
Sometimes the feeling is more prominent when I make start into a left hand turn. If you guys have any ideas or recommendations for me to check, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
