I am curious as to how thin the spring cups on the rear axle can get before they are dangerous. There are a few good rear ends around the j-yards, but all have mass rust on the axle tubes. I am going to sandblast mine soon and get a caliper on it. Are there aftermarket cups that I can re weld on if I think they are getting too thin?
