Question REAR END QUESTION

what is the difference between a chevelle rear end and cutlass? i found a posi rear from a chevelle, and i know it will bolt right on, but what is the difference? the olds rear ends are way more expensive and i was wondering why if the chevelle rear will fit with any problems. thanx for any help in advance. The axles bolt in on an Olds as compared to C clips on a Chevy and they will not interchange parts. Around this neck of the woods Chevelle 12 bolts get the top dollar and Oldsmobiles are cheaper.
A chevy 68-72 10 or 12 bolt will bolt right in. You will need to get a special u joint or use the Chevelle drive shaft because they use a different u joint.
