Thumbs down rear end gears

Does anyone have any info. on what kind of gear ratio was in a 1973 442. I'm going to possibly buy this car. It is a day trip to see it and was hoping some-one might know. The seller doesn't know.

Could be just about anything. The axle tube between the passenger spring perch and the cast center section will have a suffix letter code. We can get the ratio from that. It will most likely be from 3.23 to 2.41 ratio. Nothing with great lowend. Cars by this time were all emmision controled and performance took a back seat. One good this is the gears and posi units are plentiful and fairly low priced. PM me I will price you out some quotes for the stuff if you get the car. Jim - J D Race.com
