Help ID Gear 71 AntiSpin

Well I found the letters and numbers on the right front of axle housing, see picture, but the letters do not match up to anything in the service manual. It reads LSB 060 2 . Any idea what gear this should have come with originally?

Thank you,

John

That my friend is a 1971-1972 3.08 posi from a Buick Skylark. It is an 8.5" differential & uses bolt in axles.

Ok, thanks oldsmobiledave. That's not what I expected. What would be the advantage of using the Buick rear end as opposed to the 10 bolt anti spin that came with the 442 in 71?

Also, if I want to change the gear in this is it the same as the Olds gears?

Thanks,

John

They are the same rear end just with different application codes. Both use the same housing, carriers, bolt in axles, gear sets & brake parts.
