Differential guy needs help on axle tube code...lol. ;?/

I HAVE A REAR END CASTING A 03 7 ( JANUARY 3TH 1967 )
tHE GEAR SET IS 39 9 12 66 ( MEANING 4.33 WITH DATE OF DECEMBER 1966 )

ALMOST SEEMS LIKE THIS ACTUALLY WORKS AND WAS MADE THIS WAY??

Axle tube code is 05 or O5 ((( zero and a 5 or letter O and 5 )))
Everything really appears to be factory installed in this rear.
Anti spin 4 pinion pontiac rear with the passenger axle tube code upside down on the back of the tube which again seems all correct for the year of 1967 early model heavy duty rear.

Any one got some info maybe special order rear here??

Not that it means anything to help you , however here is my personal experience after returning stateside after a Westpac in 1977. My brother took me over to a contact that he had to pick out a car. The guy had multiple 442's in his backyard. 2 of them were ex factory race cars with 433 rear differentials, 1 was a 4 speed and 1 was switch pitch 400. We wisely chose a different car as MM3 didn't make much at the time. I have a part manual in the shop that might have additional information to help you tomorrow if you would like me to check.

Only 1 result for a 4 pinion type comes up Case assembly with gears for either type B or type P 4.33 gears is 1396975. Both case assemblies carry the same number. You would need to refer the the side of the case to id rather a type B or a type P. Type B case has a single Rib and Type P has converging Ribs. There are 3 different 4.33 gear sets that were available if you are interested in that information.

Ok, I have a question to ask, why with your vast knowledge did you ask such a question? Could the marking be Q5 instead and you can't see the small line of the Q? http://forum.jdrace.com/viewtopic.php?t=155
