Diff for 69 cutlass

Diff for 69 cutlass

Can anyone ID my differential on my 69 cutlass. I want to get a chrome one but I can't seem to find one!

you have whats known as a 12 blt Olds rearend . Specific to Olds from 68-70 they are oft confused with 12 blt Chevy rears but are not the same . The olds 12 blt still only has 10 bolts attaching the ring gear to carrier inside and has bolt in axles instead of the C clip style that Chevy has. - they make Alum covers for this specific rear end but you'll probably have to find a used one for Chrome or get your original cover chromed.
Those are not high volume pieces anymore that shops would still manufacture those in aftermarket in chrome.

Try some Olds after market businesses.. - Fusick / Supercars unlimited / Tamaraz / parts place etc.

Says it si for the o type but the years it has listed is NOT right too many years 67-70 ONLY.

I have used chrome cover for your application , it has some small dents on the bottom where people jack up the rear end with out protecting it with a towel . It is overall nice shape , asking $20 plus shipping . I can get pictures if you want . Located in zip 60034 . Thanks BOB
