Axle Swap Question.

Would the axle from my 76 cutlass fit a G Body. The upper arms are the same part number and the lower arms are only 1 number off (for the part I was looking it). Is the reason the lower arm has a different number because of the design of the arm on the frame side or the axle side. If it were just the frame side would the lower control arm for the gbody work to make it swap into my 80 LeMans. Thanks.

(For those who don't know the 80 LeMans and 80 Cutlass are exactly the same.)

It will not swap directly, plus the 76 rear is wider than a G-body rear. There are control kits available to swap the 64-72 A-body rear into a G-body,but not the 73-77 due to other differences in the mounting points.
