axel ratio?

Someone can tell me which is the axel ratio of a '67 Olds Cutlass Supreme whit Jetaway tranny?

You'll need to the the code off of the passenger side axle tube and then we can help you more.

It's a two letter code stamped in the axle tube... maybe 3/8" of an inch tall. You may have to wire brush or use sandpaper to clean off the tube to see it. It can be on the back, underside or front of the tube. I've never heard of it being on the top, but if all else fails look there too! If you haven't found this site yet it has a lot of good information on the 1967's.

spin the hub and count the revolutions of the input yoke.
if the hub spins just under 3 1/2 turns, its a 3.42, if it turns just under 3 turns, its a 2:90 etc.. Not perfect but it will get you close.

You can pull the rear cover change that OLD oil and read the tooth count on the edge of the ring gear as you spin it around. THAT is absolute!

The '67 sales brochure lists the standard axle ratio for Cutlass Supreme models with auto. trans as 3.08:1
There were several available axle options, though.
