68 442 O-type axle bearings

I am replacing the O-type axle bearings and seals on my 68 442. Doing some research on this site (lots of great stuff here!) I found the part numbers RW-507-CR for the bearing and 8594s for the seal. The consensus seems to be that Timken is the only brand of bearing which is made in the US and I'd like to go that route. Searching the bearing part number on Rockauto's site, I found a Timken one. The other manufacturers use a separate bearing and retainer while it appears from the picture on the Rockauto site (below) that Timken has combined the bearing and retainer into a single part. Am I interpreting the picture correctly and, if so, has anyone used this style of bearing/retainer? What were the results?

I'm pretty sure the RW507CR Timken bearings I have at home from Brian Trick have the separate bearing and retainer. I glanced at them the other day, but haven't started rear end assembly yet.

I looked at the images on Rock Auto's site and noticed that the Timken pictures said "representative images" while the other brands did not. This makes me think the Timken picture may not be the actual RW507CR bearing.

I noticed that also. I guess I'll order the bearings and see what they look like when they arrive.

I checked mine last night. Retainers are separate.

part#

RE507C IS THE BEARING
R IS THE RETAINER.

NO ONE SELLS THE RW507C ANYMORE... Back in the day it was sold separately.
IT IS ALWAYS RW507CR = BEARING AND RETAINER SOLD IN ONE BOX BUT SEPARATE PIECES.

On Ebay you will still see old stock with just a part number rw507c on a box which means there is NO Retainer included.

DO NOT EVER GO BY ANY PICTURES ON THE INTERNET. WHEN BUYING CAR PARTS...LOL

Take care, Jim
