When we bought this 86 442 it had no driveshaft with it. Does anybody know if it is the same as on other 78-87 Cutlass coupes and sedans? The rreason I ask is I know the 442 came with an 8.5 rear axle as opposed to the standard 7.5.

 

I think you can use 1 from 84 - 87, Cutlass and Salon.

 

No it's got to be from either an 84 H/O or an 85-87 442 or even a GN because the pinion on the 8.5 is a different length than the 7.5.
