What is the best manufacturer of axel bearings for a 1970 type O rearend?

Olds 1970 axle bearings bolt in axles

Well I can only say NO ONE ...
Timkin is all we use on the set9 bearing and 712146 seal system it is as close as you will get to correct specs.

If your old bearings are still good use them as long as you can...

If you can find the old BOWER non tapered bearing BUY THEM!

Last set of originals I bought were expensive. I could be wrong but I think $100 for the set comes to mind. On a very rare occasion they pop up on eBay.
