1970 442 what u-joints

1970 442 what u-joints

I have a 1970 442 automatic anyone know what u-joints the drive shaft takes wanna replace them but dont wanna have to wait for parts

It also depends upon if the rearend is an O-Type or a Chevy 12 bolt (USA assembly plant or Canadian assembly plant).

Olds didn't build any A-body cars in Canada for the 1970 model year.

@joe_padavano Is there an on-line site to lookup cross references for old GM part numbers with new replacement part number? Not sure if you saw my initial reply to the OP, but it appears AC Delco 7806140 is an old obsolete p/n. I would be interested to know how to look up the most recent part number and order it through RockAuto

To be honest, I purchase based on dimensions and C-clip location. I typically use the Moog 534G with the grease fitting in the yoke or the Moog 235 heavy duty piece with the grease fitting in one of the caps.
