12 bolt posi

? will a 12 bolt posi out of a 68 chevelle ss fit in a 72 cutlass which currently has 10 bolt limited slip rear end and if so are there any adjustments I need to make Thanks Robbing Peter to pay Paul LOL

Physically it will bolt up. It will need a special u-joint with two caps for the chebby yoke and two for the Olds driveline. I don't know if you'll need a different driveline length. My personal opinion if you've already got a limit slip in your car the corporate 8.5 rear used in 1971-72 is hard to beat. I'd think twice before swapping it out. John

the guy that rebuilt my rear said the same thing. he said the 8.5 is better than the C 12 bolt. i do not know personally, just what my guy told me.
