how they look...they are Foose Legends 17x7 in front and 17x9 in rear. Now I plan on turning my attention to finding and building a 455 thru the summer(so if anyone knows of a tip on one around Portland, OR drop me a PM). But anyways heres a few pics of the car.

well I guess I am...but I understand some peoples comments, not feeling them. Its cool, I'm not "feeling" 14-15" wheels myself and stock especially, but thats just my opinion on wheels. If people did not have different styles, they would not make so many styles of rims. And to be honest I did not expect to get too many positive reply's as most here are for stock looks it seems, which is cool(I have a 61 conv caddy that is going stock on rebuild) I just know I like them and thats all that matters to me, I just thought I would share a pic. And it looks like I just help someone make a decision on the wheels they wont buy. Glad to help

I agree with J, I think they look pretty good. I am looking at getting some torque thrust 2's, but these are almost the same but just a little different look. How expensive were they compared to the torque thrusts?

 

I looked at the torq thrust 2's as well but these were only a few hundred more and I liked them a little more. Either way I think both look good.

 

They are not wheels I would buy but I am 61 years old. I really think they look pretty good. Thankfully they are not 22's or 24's. You are completely correct saying that is why they make different wheels. They only person that really matters is the guy writing the check. You might check with 2blue442 on this site for a 455. He is near you and is a great guy. You can trust him 100%. Enjoy your car.

Sorry bro, I think they take away from the car. I personally am fond of the Stock or Torque Thrust Ds.

But hey, If you like em, Im happy for ya! Sweet ride! I traded out Torque Thrust Ds for the Stockers.

Meh, I think the torque thrusts are better for an old car.

17's are not a bad size though, at least you didn't jack it up and throw 26's or 28's under it

 

You asked for opinions so here goes...
It could be much worse. Its not bad but not anything I would buy on purpose. I don't like the Foose version either. Its not that I have anything agaist bigger wheels but pretty much don't like anything in a cast one piece chrome wheel. The car itself looks great. These are my opinions and its your car so feel free to ignor me.

 

The only thing that could make it look better is if it were a Delta 88 or a 98. Bigger = Better! At least when it comes to the car itself.

Its all good. When I first put 18"s on my 66 I posted a pic on ROP and pretty much got told it looked like it was right out of the getto by several guys on there. Those wheels are gone waiting for whats next but I liked it for what it was at the time and thats what counts. How boring would it be if we all built the same car.

I have to say those look good for a custom wheel. Probably about the largest I would want to go. Tires are low enough profile to not throw the car off- balance visually. Personally I've got hooked on SSII Ralleys, but like has been said, it's all about personal preference.

 

I was looking in the Summit catalog and found a number of nice wheels. There were also some for a decent price too. Can't go wrong with these (if it fits your car that is).

X2. Nice looking car ddusty1. SS1's are a classy choice. My rides got SS11's. I'm also more of a traditionalist when it comes to wheels.

Now the thing about Foose wheels is ....well, Foose wheels are really nice dress up. But, most of the time I've seen them, it's also been on a Foose recreation. You know, where the look of the car has been slightly altered by installing popper door openers, custom paint themes, and slight body or chrome modifications to suit Chip's vision.

72Cutlass, your ride looks great from the pics, but somehow the wheel bling takes my eyes away from the car, instead of adding to the overall appeal. But, on the + side, you've still got a rocket car!! (Kind of curious, is this an f85? Easy to tell from the VIN if you can post it)

I got the Foose Legends myself in the gun metal gray with 4.5 and 5.5 BS IIRC.
245/45/17 Nitto ZR's up front on Foose Legends
285/40/18 Nitto ZR's on back on Foose Legends
It looks like you needed LESS BS on both if I'm seeing those right.
I almost got the chrome but opted for these instead.

OH.......and this is the car I saw them on that made me decide to get them.
Unfortunately they don't make the riveted kind for anything but Mustangs and Dodge's now.
So that's why I got them without.
