Cool Wanting to swap engines.

I have a 1982 Cutlass Supreme Brougham. It currently has a 4.3 V8 (260cid) YES a 4.3 V8 (260 cid) I want to remove the 4.3 and install a Olds 350. Also want to do away with computer and its controls and emissions. I have antique plates on the vehicle so doing away with emissions will be legal. Can this be done and how difficult will it be to say by-by to the computer control car and all that stuff??? also can I use the tranny from the 4.3? Thanks for all the input in advance. This project has me excited!!!

I believe you'll need a non-computer controlled carb and dist. The trans will bolt up.
I have similar plans in the making for my 85. My problem is, it has a v-6 in it.

Thanks crazy boutolds. Kinda what I thought. Also I was talking to a friend today that races cars about my project, this may help you in reference to the v6. The v8 have a 90 degree block so its no problem to in drop in another v8. However the v6 are 60 degree block and you will need the engine mount that mounts to the frame also. I also believe I will need to install new gauges. You will need to get some mounts from anther cutlass that had a v8. Look in to this. Let's do it!I just bought a 77 cutlass with a 350 in it and will be salvaging from it.

I have a slight lean on my rear driver side. I cant get rid of. I've replace the shocks and springs on the rear but it's still there. Looking at the front for fault now.

That's just your opinion. I've owned a few 77 442/Cutlasses.
As far as the lean, have you checked you rear control arm bushings?

Boutolds the rear control arm bushings can cause the leans? That's something I will check and thanks for the info. About the 77 Olds it pretty junked the guy I just purchased it from did not take care of it. I got for the 350 engine and 350 tranny as donner parts for my 350 swap (intake, exhaust, accessary mounts, etc). Taking out that 260.

Sure, but first I must let the auction on ebay close. But still tell me what you want. There is a guy from ebay asking questions as well.

Well, I'd like the gauges with sending units and harness, front license plate bracket, opera lights in the interior b-pillars, and revers light assemblies. Price indidvidually and as a group. I'd need them shipped to Ohio zip 44515.
Any 260 parts?
