Turn Signal Cancel Cam Removal

Hello everyone,
I may be posting this in the wrong area....but here goes. For the life of me I can't remove the turn signal cancel cam plate. I haven't pulled real hard for fear of breaking it...any hints you can give me? Do I need a specific tool for this?

Thanks,
Todd

Keep pulling. It just slides on and off.

Thanks

Thanks Joe,
I will give pulling another try. Damn thing feels likes it's glued on....I will try some persuasion methods.

It does just slide off, not sure what has yours on so solidly. Perhaps a dab of WD-40 and twist a little while pulling.

Success

Thanks guys, I was able to slowly work off the cancel cam by pulling as evenly as possible. The cancel cam is pretty brittle and am currently looking for a replacement. The cam on the turn signal switch needs replacing as well and I had bought an OEM replacement that doesn't fit. Mine needs the two wire fitting and the one I bought has no feature for the wires...this may be a '64 only piece?
