1970 cutlass w-31

1970 cutlass w-31

I have 1970 w-31 all matching numbers,, when restoring the car i had the torque converter rebuilt now when you put it in gear it wants to take off,
it has no stall hardly at all so i called the trans shop they didnt know what stall a w-31 should have and i cant find it in any of my books does anyone know what the factory stall should be???http://members.***.net/rlarson831/oldssite.shtml

You have to figure it is in the 2300 to 2500 area. I can't believe no one has the exact number here. Where the hell is Norm when you need him?

Just a word of advice which has been said on here before, mark your parts before they go away so you'll know your getting the same thing back. Some shops will use your parts as cores and buy remans from larger companies to give you back. A friend of mine had that problem with a TF727 a few years back.
