Brake valve move for headers
Brake valve move for headers
I'm prepping to install a set of Hedman headers in my '72 CS convertible with a 455. Per all the research I did on the forum I realize I will need to relocate the brake proportioning valve from the side to the top of the frame rail. What I can't seem to find are any discussions on how to do this. For those of you who have needed to move yours, would you share how you accomplished it? Thanks
Remove the bolt that attaches the bracket to the frame, then carefully relocate the valve to the top of the frame.
There is no need to remove any of the brake lines.
There is plenty of room in the brake lines to relocate the valve with no damage or kinking

Well that sounds a lot easier than I was thinking! I figured new brake lines, flaring, leaks, stripping flare nuts and bloody knuckles were involved. I really dislike brake line work.......!
