Does anyone have a work around? I need to switch the gaskets for the valve covers. Passenger side is done. Driver side next. Do I really need to remove the brackets holding the power steering pump? I don’t see any way around it. The back bracket has two studs at right angles to each other which prevent the back bracket from moving out of the way of the valve cover. See attached photos. So, I think that means that I have to remove the front bracket. I also don’t see how to loosen the steering pump fan belt. Sure, I could be blind, but I am scratching my head on this one.

Joe- I was thinking about that too. I was wondering if the bolts in the pump would hit the pulley as they were removed. Guess doing it would tell me pretty quickly. But, common sense now tells me that they won’t as it doesn’t make sense that the pulley would need to be removed. Thank you for the assistance.
