1969 Cutlass Headlight Buckets

Does a 1969 Cutlass use four unique headlight buckets?

I purchased a set of buckets and trim rims, and the buckets are labeled LO, LI, RI, RO. Which I assume means Left Outer, Left Inner, Right Inner, Right Outer. However, LO and RO are exactly the same, and LI and RI are exactly the same. I can make the Low and High beam bulbs on the driver side work fine, but they don't line up properly on the passenger side.

If the adjusting screws were in the TOP and RIGHT position (as viewed from the front) on driver and passenger side I'd be OK, but my car has the adjusting screws as TOP and OUTBOARD, which I believe is correct. Rotating the buckets to mount into the brackets on the passenger side results in improperly rotated bulbs.

I'm stumped.

These are the buckets that were in the car, they were "modified" many years ago for aftermarket bulbs, which is why I want to replace them.

Yes, the factory installation uses four unique buckets. The high beam and low beam bulbs have different locating keys and each of those have RH and LH versions due to the location of the adjusting screws.

Thanks Joe. I see that Year One sells four individual buckets just like you described, even the pictures on their website show they are all unique.

A lot of these kits that include all four buckets state "two inner and two outer" implying the inners are the same, and the outers are the same. I don't know how anybody makes them work?

Update: Got a nice set of original buckets headed my way thanks to Scott Winn.
