Help decoding vin tag for '71 Cutlass SX

I need help decoding tag. I search and found 43 to stand for Lime Green exterior, G - I believe for Green Convertible Top. Not sure of the interior bucket seats, Jade Green?

Thanks!

That's not a "VIN tag". The VIN is not printed on it.

That's a Fisher Body cowl tag, which is installed on the body before the VIN is even assigned on the assembly line. It decodes as follows:

ST71 = Style 1971 model year
34267 = Oldsmobile division (3) Cutlass Supreme (42) convertible (67)
LAN = Lansing assembly plant
294757 = Fisher Body sequence number (not the VIN sequence number)
TR 972 = Jade bucket seat interior
43 G PNT = Lime Green lower body color (43) with green convertible top (G)
02B = built second week (B) of Feb (02) 1971

It ain't easy being green...

Friend always said GM got a good deal on green paint those years. Chrysler must have too, as much green as they put on cars.

Gotta say green convertible top is seldom seen.

No pictures of the original color combination. Car is currently dark green with tan interior and tan convertible top.

Thanks for the feedback!

My Dad was friends with a couple that had a lime green 71 SX convertible. It had a white top and interior. Loved that car.
