I'm looking to replace my frame. I know it's an A Body frame but the ones that keep popping up arnt as boxed looking as the original. Any advice of what cars came with the same frame.

Does anyone know if a '68 el camino frame would work?

El Camino's have 116 in wheel base, your 442 has 112 in, so no it wouldn't work. The boxed frame was convertible only on the 68-72 so if that's what you want that's what you should look for. Your original frame would be the open channel for a hardtop. If you wanted to add the convertible frame it would work. You could also weld the boxed pieces onto your original frame if it's good shape.
