Wich headlight to buy?

I have to replace my right low beam headlight. I saw that Rockauto got several but wich one should I pick?

Car is a 1970 Cutlass Supreme SX 455 Convertible.

I would get the WAGNER Part # H5006 for better lighting, as it is halogen.

If your bulbs are not marked halogen on the front, I would recommend, since they are cheap, to get two of those and two of the H5001s for high beams. When you replace the whole set to halogens, light output is GREAT!

If you have a stock sealed beam bulb (marked sealed beam on the front), and wish to keep them that way, then use WAGNER Part # 4000 (non-halogen).

Unless you're looking at repro T3s, I don't think you can even buy a new sealed beam that ISN'T halogen these days.

Look his car up on rockauto - they have the Wagner Part # 4000 non-halogen bulbs. Limited stock of course...

So I think I will go for the Wagner headlight then since the old one was halogen and also my left one.

But the highbeam headlights looks different. It´s just a small thread for lamp.

Hej Mattia!
Yes, the H5006 is what you will need to match your old one.
The high beam bulb should look the same on the outside.
However the low beam has 3 wires, the high beam only 2. The Low beam bulbs actually have a high beam filiment inside.

The halogen bulbs have another bulb capsule inside. Non-halogens just have a bare filament inside.

BTW, greetings to Sweden!

Just ordered the headlight from Rockauto together with a door lock set, a trunklock and a flasher.
Shipping was 60$ but still much cheaper than in Sweden....as always!
You guys must eat carparts for breakfast with those prices!!

Now I´m looking forward to next weekend. Just me, the Olds and a cold beer!

Thank you very much for the help.

Unfortunately, they still add up real fast. I am almost at the 10k mark.

Naah there are better beers than Swedish, except one-Zeunerts Original. That one is superb. Actually won best beer in the world in Californa 2004 I think.

Finally the new headlight is in place. I went through hell with one bolt holding the grille. No tool in the world worked on this one but now its done.

Also had to drill one screw holding the chrome ring around the light. After a while it was so broken that the drill were just sliding back and forth, then I simply bent the chrome ring and pulled out the headlight and put the new one in the same way.
If I would have understood that before I started I would have saved an hour and a scratch on the bumper!! But...you live and learn!

I hope the rest of the lamps will last forever

I hate when a simple task turns into an all day job... Rusted hardware has a way of causing a lot of that. Glad you got in in okay. Now celebrate with a cold one!
