I would start a lot lower if I were you. Yea its a low mile car but its still a dime a dozen g-body that needs paint.

I have an 86 with 307, 200R4, only top painted areas faded, interior very good, totally unmolested survivor, 65K miles, AC works, no PW. It was high-valued (suggested) at 4K last year by the insurance co.

Given what I have heard about your prospect, 2000 seems like a good price if it runs and drives well but paint is fair. V8 and OD adds a little more to value. Go take a look at it and see. Make an offer an go from there.
If it is a 307, oil & coolant leaks are 'normal' and will need attention... Use this as bargaining item!

In dallas, it is getting hard to find an UNMOLESTED G-body... I looked today and almost all were messed up by extreme 'customizing'...
Good unmolested basic 1986 specimens were running close to 3k, more for buckets, consoles, roof options...

I'm thinking more like $1000 as well. I had an 86 with the 307 and it was rotted pretty bad all around and ended up selling it to a local kid for $600.
