i have a 68 cutlass s. ive been toying with the idea of rebuild the old motor with has been quite troublesome so far, or drop in a 400 or 455? ho realistic or difficult would thins be any ideas or info would be great. im realatively new to all this. so please go into detail. maybe a book or two i should read?
Do you have the 350? 2BBL? 4BBL? Myself, I would leave a 350 in. A properly built 350 will run with the big dogs no problem, and I'm not talking a ridiculous build either. The icing is that you will retain the better handling of the lighter engine up front.
Good luck with what ever you choose.

I'm running a 350 street and occasional strip. It's a free-revving fun liitle engine. It's more than enough to pound the #$%^ out of any ricer at half-throttle and will smack down all but the most built Rustang...not that I approve of street racing....
If you don't do it yourself, make sure you find a rebuilder that knows Olds. It ain't a Ch*vy!
