I've had good results with slow power windows by removing the regulators and motors,
cleaning both thoroughly and re-lubing.
I've done this with windows that would barely go up and down.
After cleaning and re-lubing, they worked so well, I thought they were gonna go
right through the top of the car!
Seriously, when the windows are slow, that's a lot of drag on the motors.

i applied power to the headlight bulbs them selves they all light up but one. i checked the contiuity of the wires back to the bulkhead connector and they are fine and so is the ground,i am thinking switch and adding relays to take the load off the switch.

i applied power to the headlight terminals inside the car and the headlights work all but one and only on high beam. i applied power one at a time to the other terminals and everything else works except when i applied power to the white wire and all the preinstalled smoke came out,i think that wire goes to the opera lights but they still work so i am confused,i am going off the 84 manual and my car is a 80

replace dysfunctional bulbs
fix all your grounds.
if you show voltage more than 0.2 or so on the headlight ground wire while the light is burning, you have a poor ground. Voltmeter from bulb ground wire to battery (-) terminal, and not the negative post clamp or wire. the POST that is part of the battery. In your case, maybe the terminal bolt that holds the wire to the battery.

smoke came out, of what?

Don't forget that the headlights work through the dimmer switch!

That's the problem with electrical parts, they are made mostly of varying amounts of smoke. When the smoke comes out they aren't any good any more and there is no repair.
