W-Machines/Rallye 350 Registry - www.wmachineregistry.com
Hi Everyone,
I have created a W-Machine registry for those of us that own/previously owned/spotted these great Oldsmobile classics!
I hope to have the registry up by the weekend for users to register their vehicle with data such as paint colors, interior colors, trans, wheels, mileage, location, options, etc. I have spent a lot of time compiling factory options and have completed everything for the year 1970 (W-30, W-31, Rallye 350). The plan is to upload the rest of the data for the years 64-72 over the next few weeks and have everything up by the time we enter car show season. The plan also allows an option for the user to upload an image, window sticker, etc. Once entries are compiled I will be able to update with cars in particular states, trans options, etc. I tried doing this on my first site I created about 11 years ago and had a few hundred entries before the data was lost. It was incredible to see all of Dr. Oldsmobile's creations start popping up across the globe! I will keep everyone updated on when the site is officially up but I just wanted to let everyone know!
Thanks!

thanks, this will be great to have and will be interesting to see how long it takes to have more W30 cars on the list than were actually produced - (I can say that because my car has no docs!) It should help us all though know what was available and compare notes. I myself have been storing a few VINs and Cowl tags from cars that are W30s that have been sold on ebay.

Should have it up by tonight hopefully. Looking forward to compiling a lot of great data for our hobby! If anyone has any suggestions or items they would like to see in a field on the registry let me know! Thanks!

For the first year I have posted (1970) it just includes W-30, W-31, and W-45 (Rallye 350) Will work on including the others down the road.

I was wondering the same thing? Is it forum for A-Body cars only , and nothing else?

On a Cutlass Supreme, as opposed to the fastback style of the 442, unless it's a convertible, in which the body styles will be the same, but from '68-'71 will have their VIN distinct bodies.

Still making some last minute changes to the site. It will be up soon - thanks for being patient! I hope it turns out to be a great tool for the Oldsmobile community! I'm still trying to add the 71/72 years for the initial roll-out.

Site is up and running!
Hi All,
I finally have the site up and ready so you can register your Oldsmobile W-Machine. I've spent a lot of time the past few weeks working on it and still have some kinks to workout but just wanted to give everyone a quick rundown on how it works...
-When you first get to the site you can register your car by either clicking on the 'Registry' link at the top and then on the right side of the next page by clicking on 'Register W-Machine.' You can also go to the FAQ page and read how it works and there are links that will navigate you to the right page from there!
-On the form there is a spot to put a user name. This must be filled out. It can be anything you want it to be! You will automatically get a password sent to your email. Save this so you can login to the site once you've finished registering and check out pics of everyone elses car/profile. Documents such as build sheets, broadcast sheets, and window stickers can be uploaded and will be kept PRIVATE from everyone. It's just a way of having everything documented on one page. The registry can simply be viewed by clicking the 'Registry' link at the top of the page. Cars will be sorted by VIN, Year, Body Style, and Factory Exterior Color.
-I had an issue with the check boxes for the options so please take note that the Check Box ABOVE the Option is the one that corresponds with it.
-Check out the Restoration Blog as I will try to update it a few times a week. If you have some great tips or some cool stories to share with everyone please follow the directions in the FAQ to submit them!
-You can follow the site on Twitter at DrOldsmobile (there is a link on the site as well)
-There are TONS of Photos in the gallery that I have collected off the web over the past couple of years. If your car is on there and you don't want it pictured please let me know and I will remove it! With that being said, if you have a picture of your car and want it posted in the gallery please email it to contact@wmachineregistry.com
-Special thanks to BigJerr for helping with the main Dr. Oldsmobile logo on the front page!
-Spread the word and tell your friends about the site! Like I said, I will be adding other years over the next few weeks but wanted to get it out to the public to use asap and started with the year 1970.
-If you have ANY questions, comments, or concerns please let me know and I will help!

I was all jazzed when i saw this then I saw the date of the start post.
I have seen the site in the past didnt mean as much to me not being a owner went to it more for a fun site to see. I wonder what it cost to run a site like that ?
