step one - get it to the shop...

Since my Jaguar is claiming my only garage space at home undergoing head gasket surgery I have to get the '64 coupe out of the rain. I have some space at the shop to keep it and do the minor stuff in my 'spare time'. This is the car I paid $350 for. The plan is:
-front power discs
-stainless lines front to back
-replace rubber window seals all around
-keep manual steering
-duals with factory manifolds
-clean up engine bay and detail
Maybe I'll paint it down the road.

Forgive the shameless self promotion...that's my cement mixer sized blast room in the background.

Blast Room!! ugh. That's serious bragging rights.

Can you fit a mother in law in there?

Hmmm... I do have a burn off oven that gets to 900 F. I'll keep the teeth on file.

Hey, c'mon - didn't you notice his location?

I think mother-in-laws are a protected species in BC.

You'd get a visit from the game warden for sure.

I think I told the story in another thread but I came across the car through a buddy and fellow CO member. Underground stored for 20 yrs with 40k miles on it. It still had bias ply tires on it when I hauled it home. The wheels and tires on it in these pics are new. That is all I have done so far. Rust free, bucket seat interior in great shape.
This car proves that there are still deals to be had. I bought my rust free 65 wagon for $500 too. They're out there!
