Replacement Brake Rotors

Anyone have recent experience with Wagner brake rotors? How about NAPA Premium and Ultra Premium? Mine have a fresh cut and have a pretty severe pulse when braking and I think maybe I have the cheap Chinese junk and may replace. I don't want to get the Chinese junk again. !972 Cutlass Power Disk

I've never had a problem with Wagner or Raybestos brake parts.

..." I don't want to get the Chinese junk again"...

This statement sure goes through my head often. Global market, ugh. NAPA premium/ultra are fine.

Wagner always worked for me too, and so has NAPA. The Ultra Premium NAPA says in their description, "Out of the box, no turn guarantee". Do other good rotors (not the Chinese), brand new out of the box need turned?

Rotors really seem to be a crap shoot as far as quality these days. As a professional mechanic dealing with cheap parts wastes a TON of my time But as far as your problem I had a set of Chinese rotors on my Cutlass for a few years and they always pulsated............I cut them till they were too thin to be saved, then replaced with a different brand (still Chinese) and have had no issues in two years

That is part of the problem. Not all Chinese is junk. The problem is how do you know for sure until you invest (or waste) your time, money and sweat. I think I will buy the Wagner rotors, unless someone tells me they know they too are Chinese junk, and I don't mean the boat. The Wagner and the Premium NAPA are both about $60. The NAPA Ultra Premium is about $90.
