I need to replace the turn signal switch in my 72 cutlass. Anyone have step by step instructions I can follow?

 

The 1972 Oldsmobile Chassis Service Manual has step by step intructions.
They're the instructions for almost everything.

This link may help, just stop when you get to the turn signal switch.

You need a steering wheel puller and a lock plate remover to do the job, most parts stores sell or loan them.
No large deal to do the switch...BTW Welcome.
