One way to find out is to go to www.mecum.com and register for free. Then you can put in the search of past auctions for a 1968 Cutlass and it will give you the sold price, and on most of the cars there is a picture and a description of the car.

I would caution using only auction prices. Most auctions, particularly at big name houses, result in inflated prices when buying fever overcomes common sense. If you plan to sell your car that way, fine. If you plan to sell your car in the real world, go to ebay and search completed auctions. You'll get the last 30 days of completed auctions. The most obvious thing that you'll learn is that the high dollar cars rarely sell.
