Production Numbers Help

A friend of mine has a 1971 cutlass supreme convertible 350 rocket.
Just trying to confirm how many were made for her but can't seem to find it. Any help please??

Production of 1971 Cutlass Supreme convertibles was 10,255. No breakdown is available as to how many had the 350 or the 455.

Right here:

http://www.amazon.com/Setting-Pace-O...5354229&sr=1-1

They've got used ones on there for less than $8.00 plus $3.99. For $12 total, it's a hell of a buy. The book was $40 new.

It was written as part of the 100th anniversary of Oldsmobile in 1997. It contains lots of information including production numbers, base prices, length, wheelbase, weight, and what the engine options were for every year from 1897 through 1996. A later supplement has this info for the remaining years ('97 through '04).

As I said, though, while we know what options were available in a given year, production breakdown is not available as a function of these options, so we don't know how many had a particular engine, were a particular color, had an automatic or manual transmission, or anything else like that.

For any Olds made before 1977, if you give them the VIN, GM can't even tell you where the car was originally sold (who the selling dealer was), what options it had, or what it's selling price was. Those records were not kept.
