package tray too wide??

Hi all,

I bought a mesh package tray and was putting it in place. It seems to be about 3 inches too wide, have yall had to cut yours down to fit them in?

Thanks,
Mark

Pacakge tray size

There are two sizes available. It sounds like you got the "wide" one for your "narrow" application.

2 sizes available are for Cutlass S/442/fastback which is 20" deep and Supreme/notchback 11" deep . there is no wide and narrow. He got the right size, it just needs to be trimmed around the sides.

Package Tray Dimensions

Apologies for the confusion. I should have been clearer: Wide VS Narrow was meant to impart a Front to Back distance, not left to right. As corrected here, my statement is still accurate, no? Two different sizes available?

The ends fold up to go behind the sail panels.

There is a score line on each side, that is supposed to fold up? what is the purpose of that? It appears from measurements that if you trim it on that line on each side it fits perfectly. just wondering, Thanks for the replies.

No don't trim it , the sail panels will hold it down into the package tray so when it gets hot in the car it wont' curl up .

When I was installing mine it was just too wide, even folded up. I couldn't even get it in and it wouldn't go flat as the sides were too wide. troes cutting it to the line, wouldn't fit, ended up trimming about 3/4" more on each side after the I cut it at the line. Got the panel from OPGI, mesh, cutlass S/442 style.

That's because the sail panels need to be removed to install the package tray.

No expert here but with a different (67) OPG tray, it needed a trim job as well the door panels required modifications to fit. Their parts cover a range of cars where I have a Holiday and the parts claim to fit Supremes as well. In the door panel backing boards, there are lots of perforated punch outs for different window cranks and armrest mounts. The perfs can be for other applications.

For the pricing, not to worry, chop and stuff that thing in there. Hoo Hoo - mesh.
