Oil indicator-dipstick - 1967 Cutlass 330 5.4l
I see the manual shows an oil dipstick length of 16-5/32" for a 330 ci - see attached PDF, the one i have is 17".
i don't find any 330 ci dipsticks on searches.
are there other engines that have the same dipstick, like a 1968 350 ci?
any suggestions on where to find one? except Ebay for $125.

What I would do is fill the crankcase and filter with 4 qts of oil and fire the engine. Mark the level on your dipstick with a file. Add a 5th qt, let the oil settle and mark that level with a file on your dipstick.

^^^This, but I'll just add that after firing the engine briefly, let it sit for 10-15 minutes to allow all the oil to drain back into the pan. Mark and repeat with a full five quarts.

As long as the tube and dipstick are a matched pair, does it really matter? Obviously a longer dipstick in a short tube would show full with less oil, going the other way would show full with too much oil.
