New here with a 69 S

Hey guys, I just signed up today. I am currently rebuilding a 69 Cutlass S hardtop that I bought from Florida. I am glad I found this forum and hope to contribute as much as I take. I am stuck on a color choice for the car so suggestions are very welcomed.

Here are a few pics of my new girl...

Thanks,

Andrew

Hello.

What was the factory color?

It was a limeish green color. I could tell when I stripped the interior. I was going to go a deeper red and keep the white, or a deep silver gunmetal color with black stripes.

The color isn't too bad now, but it is in bad need of a good painty job. It looks way better in the pics than it is.

And, thanks for the welcome's

Andrew

Welcome Andrew. I like the idea of deep gunmetal with the black stripes. Handsome combo.

Its your car so do what pleases you. I last painted mine in 99 and I was crossed between several colors. Going back with the factory color for me was the easy choice. Have I had second thoughts? Yes. Go with your "gut" and first choice. All others are second choices. Enjoy the new ride.

If it was originally a lime green color then maybe you should paint it MOPAR Grabber Green. Just an idea...

Well it is down to the meatal now, and to my surprise it is very clean. No holes and just a few small spots of pitting. I am leaning towards a dark gray metalic with the black lines on the hood.
