Needed help -65 Cutlass wipers

OK guys i had this post running 3 days in the electrical section and got no responses so i will try the Cutlass forum.

Bought a 65 Cutlass last month and have got around to the item on the "to do" list marked wipers. The wipers do not work. I have checked out the wiper switch and it is working. Below is a photo of what I think is the wiper/washer assembly. It looks like there are 2 electrical attachment points (one broken off) on the resistor. The washer components are long gone and I do not want to fix the washer just like to have wipers especially since monsoon season is soon approaching in Thailand. I am an electric idiot so does someone please have a diagram or can tell me the next steps. Thanks

It looks like your washer pump assembly is toast...thats what is exposed in the picture...you can buy those at "the parts place". You have the round version wiper motor..2speed...I believe 64-65 Chev are the same..
You can get a rebuilt wiper motor between 125.00-250.00...there is a motor on ebay right now.

Or you can convert it like everything else on your car...check out "Detroit speed & engine" for a conversion unit that might be better suited to your needs..

But first....make sure you are getting power to your motor...check the wiring behind the dash...wiper wiring in these cars had a bad habit of melting and doing bad things to your car

Haven't done much on the car as i through my back out last week. Did not feel like bending over a fender or laying on my back under the dash. I took another look at the wiper motor and there are 4 wires coming out of the motor and only one is connected. Can anyone tell me which wires are for what?
Thanks,
rokit

For the monsoon season you should be using your kayak!! Try taking off the three screws holding the washer pump onto the motor, and replace the screws (maybe), then try to get the motor working, there should be a three terminal board and the middle terminal is pwr from the ignition through a fuse...and the other two are high and low speeds...there are some cut off wires there and are probably for the wiper motor...use a test probe to see which is which P.S. There are too many forums and not enough days in an hour...

Thanks Yellowstatue. I'll give it a try.
