Need help with PS pulley installation

I rented a power steering pump pulley remover/installer tool from the local parts place. The removal was easy...no problems. But, the re-installation of the pulley has me stumped. The installation tool has a bolt that is supposed to go into a tapped hole in the end of the pump shaft. Problem....the pump shaft is not tapped...no way to attach the tool. Do I need a different tool? What's the right way to get the pulley back on? Thanks!

If the shaft and inside of the pulley are well cleaned up, put some light lube on the shaft and the pulley should easily slide on far enough to get the nut started. Then just pull it the rest of the way by tightening the nut. An impact gun does the best job if you have one.
