Here's a little more detail.

ST 72 - style/model year = 1972

34257: 3 = GM division = Oldsmobile; 42 = model series = Cutlass Supreme; 57 = body type = hardtop coupe

LAN = assembly plant = Lansing MI

526864 BDY = Fisher body number (this has no relationship whatsoever with your VIN; your VIN and the Fisher body number are completely independent of each other)

TR 977 = interior color = white

75 A PNT = lower (75) body color = matador red; upper body color (in this case, vinyl top color) (A) = white

06B = time build code = June (06), second week of that month (B), 1972 (a fairly late production 1972 model)

A65 = option code = notch back bench seat

B85 = option code = exterior belt molding. I may be wrong but I don't believe this has to do with seat belts. Rather, it has to do with a certain exterior trim on the body of the car.

B85 is the wide anodized aluminum trim on the outside window sweeps on the doors and rear quarters.
