Hey what's 10 years for a nice project.
I've wasted that much time on one ex wife and don't have anything to show fer it.
But now I'm laughing, I've kept the cars and her stock portfollio is in the toilet

New to the forum and simply saying hello to all. I am currently restoring a 1967 Cutlass Supreme Holiday Coupe. Scubastever, your pictures caught my eye. Your project is looking good. I have to do a lot of the same things you are doing. The hood you just purchased came with my car when I bought it. It is a nice looking piece.

Plans, plans, plans..... Well, I hope that they become a reality and not a dream.
So far I have done the following: Stripped the car and working on replacing the trunk, braces, floor pans and bushings. I need new 1/4's, inner and outer fenderwells, patch work here and there, etc. I picked up a running 455 and TH400 out of a 72 Vista Cruiser. The plan is to rebuild the motor, fuel inject it and slip it in. 4 Wheel disk brakes, up graded suspension and other misc goodies. The goal is to have her up and running and 85% complete in 2 years.
We shall see......

wow now THATS a great setup!
Sterling, i totaly recommend buying a trunk floor off EBAY,
yes - its not the total original blah blah NOS blah
but the quality is good, thick stamped stock with braces- i got mine complete (like 7 pieces i think) for under $200!
look up this guy:
http://myworld.ebay.com/standardsheetmetalandtrim
thanks for the reassurances about VFN, they sounded pretty reputable, so i think ill be happy.
also, i picked up a decent front brake conversion / 2" front end lowering setup for a great price.
came with booster, valves, calipers, rotors pads, master cylinder...everythign you need to bolt it up!
theres also a decent body mount kit available on ebay for like 50 bux from
http://myworld.ebay.com/dadwarpath
i have lots of spare parts, if youre in the need
cheers & good luck!

Thanks for the info scubastever.
I picked up the 7 piece trunk kit about 2 months ago off of Tamaraz on ebay. It is a goodmark set. It looks pretty good so far. My fourth body brace (over the axle) is rotted out. I haven't found that brace anywhere. There is a guy on ebay making them and I am thinking of getting one from him. Currently I am putting together a parts list of things to pick up. I was thinking about going with a Corvette C4 / C5 brake setup in the front. I have read that I can use the original drum spindles and adapt the brakes to the spindles. There are some tough to find items that I would love to get my hands on. My Cutlass came optioned with a simulated wood grain steering wheel that is long gone. I have never actually seen one for sale, and I only have seen one on a car so far.
