holiday coupe

Hello everyone.. I am a long time lover of old cars and own several.. I currently purchased my first olds though. I bought a 1971 cutlass holiday coupe 4 speed 350 . I am a complete blank canvas when it comes to olds though. I know if it was a chevy that would be a great car to have.. Anyone able to help me with production numbers and if the car is even a car that is in demand or maybe i purchased a lawn ornament

Thanks in advance

If it was a cheby it would be a car, if it's an Oldsmobile it is a way of life!
Post your questions about your Oldsmobile and you will be helped on this site. Be specific as you can when asking a question.

Cool

No, that Cutlass is not something you want to have, so I'll take it off your hands for you.

Thx Danny that is very kind of you :P I am completely new to the Olds way of life and dont want to start out with a car that isnt about anything is all Im thinking. The guy the car came from was called out to Iraq and needed some cash for his family so that is why i purchased the car. I was going to just sale it and get my money back, but It is really a good car and being a four speed I thought I may keep it but if it is just "a car" then i may try to just sale it.

Seriously,

It is not a good car, it is a GREAT CAR.

Yes I am bias, but I became bias by owning and driving many, many types/styles of cars and you just can't beat a vintage Cutlas. [That's a period]

Welcome to our site. If you have any questions post away and we always enjoy pics.

You don't see many 4 speeds. I would hold onto it.

If you have to ask, it would be better if you sold it to someone who appreciates it for what it is, not for what it might be worth.

Start driving it and if you enjoy it keep it Most of us on this site are very passionate about these cars. One of the many pleasures I find is that when you go to car shows you don't see rows of Cutlass/442 cars like you do Chevelles, Camaros and Mustangs. Often the guy at the gas station is trying to guess what it is, and asking questions like "did you make that hood?" or "Oldsmobiles made cars like this?" A 1971 factory 4 speed Cutlass would be a kick in the pants to drive, an uncommon car, and if you keep it nice you will get lots of complements from other car guys. My 2 cents

Thanks I appreciate the feedback my problem is i love all old cars hehehe and just wanted to know where i stand with this car . I have a 68 vette 67 chevelle conv 64 ss nova and a 64 impala conv so room here is a premium lol if the car is a nice collectable i will "make" room for it if it. It sounds like it may be the car runs awesome and has been rebuilt with a very powerful engine it needs some quarter panel work but otherwise is very nice.
